We will work on finding a way you can become the parent you want to be.
Shepherding children from childhood through adolescence is not for the faint of heart. Parents' patience and sense of competence can be challenged by their children's behavior, school, or social problems. Many parents have trouble understanding and knowing how to respond to a child who is different from them. This could be a difference in temperament, intellectual or athletic ability, appearance, gender, or sexuality. In Parent Guidance we work on understanding the problem you are attempting to resolve and come up with strategies to address it.
Many parents have a model in mind of the type of parent they wish to be to their children. Often, they want their children to have a better experience than they had when they were young. Making this model a reality can be a rocky road. We will work on finding a way you can become the parent you want to be.
